The civil war in Angola lasted 27 years. Zeze Gamboa trys to understand what happened, by meeting with those who were an active part in the process and now live in exile.
Zeze Gamboa helps with this film to decode a crucial part of the history of his country. And the path he has chosen is difficult: giving a voice to dissidents on both sides, now living in exile (Portugal, France, Belgium, Netherlands). They were actors and witnesses, and sometimes victims of their political commitments. Without judgments induced in the viewer, the film lets them express, one after another their (dis)illusions.
